Woke up in the morning - looked out the window My car turned into a pile of snow So I tie my boots to go out into it Start shovelin’ snow cause it’s time to move it the Wind off the lake goes scraping my cheeks As I’m Scraping the windows - half asleep Perhaps this morning coulda been better but tis the season for shitty weather It’s coming down - It’s darker now Something you thought could never happen to ya It’s all right here - it’s moving through ya It’s moving through ya It moving through Is it mischief? the sound of laughter? Does winter wonder, or does it matter? A snowflake lands on a hopeful tongue Damn did I ever act that young? Was I acting or was I in it? Is it how you say it or how you spin it? Something you thought could never happen to ya It was all right there - it was moving through ya Still coming down - but I’m older now Something you thought could never happen to ya It’s all right here - it’s moving through ya It’s moving through ya It's moving through Get in my car let the windows defrost - flip the radio on let the radio talk The DJ sings of snow day chatter - Does winter wonder or does it matter? I look at my breath & look to the right - The kids next store have started a fight Is it mischief or the sound of laughter? - Clear the drive or make a pattern?

Large round wooden table Made of weathered oak A bottle of Merlot That’s been itching for a toast 8 red mats Hold 8 spoons - 8 forks - 8 knives 2 White Cookie Candles That glow on either side A rhythm in the kitchen She wears an apron sewn of hearts Flour , eggs, and breadcrumbs She measures out the parts Tears from cutting onions but Joy from tasting sauce Sweat may drip into the pot But it's like a pinch of salt and she says… 1 Chef / 1 Sheet - Roasting in the Oven 1 Pot Boiling and 2 Pans simmering Somehow Warm - Upon Delivery ...Yum!... Un - til - then the salad's prepped Like Aye bouquet of April flowers Cheese is cut and spread in white and yellow piles Baskets of bread all snuggled up Next to a pool of peppered oil One eye always on the sauce to make sure it never boils A meal so full of flavor is best-served with a dessert Calls for spoon of butter But two spoons never hurt A woven top on a handmade crust Is a wild kind of love It takes longer than the time it bakes She knows they’ll be enough 1 Chef / 1 Sheet - Roasting in the Oven 1 Pot Boiling and 2 Pans simmering Somehow Warm - Upon Delivery

Spent a little time trying to make amends - Found a little voice in the back of my head that says again again - I’ve found my way - Then again I have not learned how to say Gotta little box on the shelf - Sometimes I sneak a peak open it up to feel the ground below my feet, my feet, my feet, they’re underneath Pack the autumn into the car so we can start again picking up the pieces - and it’s so hard to tend- to lend - to go - to bend - to hold - to mold Take the little box into the car and we will drive along Counting all the lines in rhythm to these older songs - -these songs - Happen - We hum along -Ba-dum -Ba-dum -Ba-dum -Ba-dum +Boxes inside of boxes inside of boxes Inside +it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes.. Pack the autumn into the house - that’s where we’ll start again Tucking all the pieces in places - where they will spend - some time until - it’s time again Every now and then - I stumble on an older song Grab the old box - thinkin’ bout driving along, along, along again I hum -Ba-dum -Ba-dum -Ba-dum -Ba-dum
+Boxes inside of boxes inside of boxes inside +it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes + This car can go for miles and miles - and wind up in This heart could go for miles and miles - can’t help but follow it +This car can go for miles and miles - and - Wind Up In…. This heart can go for miles and miles - Wind up on the Western end + It goes - it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes - it goes - +This car can go for miles and miles - Wind Up In…. +It goes - it goes - it goes - It goes - It…

didn’t get caught in the rain today didn't get caught in the rain today Found myself caught-up in the rain today As I was walking home The kinda walk where you can’t just walk away Still got a ways to go One minute it’s - sun-shine Next minute it’s pouring buckets A passing truck goes splashing by - As if to say - “Don’t be afraid to touch it…” Found myself caught up in the rain today As I was walking home The kinda walk where you can’t just walk away…. Found a puddle in my path Coulda set me off the track Thought about dodgin’ it but I said “Hey… It’s just a few rain drops dropping on my head on a rainy day As I stepped in a puddle trying to make my way Just the rain drops falling on my head, and soon I’ll make my way home to the T-V and some tea and my nice warm bed Found myself walking through door - finally home After gettin’ caught in the rain Muddy shoes - soggy socks On the floors - start to slop Thought about making a Pot of tea But the world outside is still puddle-ing So I peeled off my socks and my shoes - just to feel the water between my toes Turned around & went back outside to watch the rain drops Fillin’ up the puddles and fallin’ on my runny nose Caught in the rain caught it in rain caught in the rain caught in the rain

When you wake up Stuffed up And stuffs lodged in your throat Crawl out of bed Have someone feel your head To see if you have to go, back to bed Pour me some tea or Vitamin C Cause baby you take good care of me The next time feel blue I'll do the same for you 'Cause that's what it means To have tea, for 2 And my head feels like a millions pounds It gets ticked off by the smallest of sounds I have at least 5 blankets around Still when I get up I feel the chills... of the night, time Won't you please Pour me some tea or Vitamin C Cause baby you take good care of me The next time feel blue I'll do the same for you 'Cause that's what it means To have tea, for 2

Twitch 03:24
Somedays I need the confusion Somedays I leave it alone Somedays I have to ask Somedays don’t wanna know Somedays I had to go Somedays I couldn’t leave Somedays it’s cereal Somedays it’s eggs & cheese Somedays it’s waking up Ready-to-go and Motivated and other days it’s go-to-bed Cause you couldn’t figure out what to do with it However you spin it - However you wanna live it However you spin it - around What will make you pause When’s it time to go? What will keep you sane? & How you gonna know? What’s there to expect? Should it always work? Never learned that… Some - Days - Al - Ways Somedays I get permission Somedays I go ahead Somedays I have a cookie Somedays salad instead Somedays I have to rush Somedays I take my time Somedays I fill with coffee Most days will end with wine Somedays the music makers take the ache’n & bake a hook Other days the baker plays to forget the bread that wouldn’t cook However you spin it - However you wanna live it However you spin it - around

Clementines 02:14
I know it’s not much of anything Couple old records and a plastic train A music box that strikes a chord in your heart Walking around when it’s 8 degrees Feel the cold air between your teeth It’s a time like this that'll rip this place apart But I am doing just fine Apple peach tea at Clementines I’m on my 2nd cup And there’s no need to get up A grateful owner of a store Knows I haven’t been before Opens the door and wishes me warmth on my way Wind chimes made of forks and spoons says she's making bracelets soon Talking to me even after I paid
Waiting for a train to cross Feel my nose turn to frost Excited to be back in the spring Looking forward to something But I am doing just fine Apple Peach Tea at clementines I’ve on my 4th cup and there’s no need to get up Apple Peach Tea at Clementines Apple Peach Tea at Clementines

Tall Man 03:21
In the morning breaking stride Work so hard to make my mark Makes me wanna question why I feel the sun is on the rise Watch my shadow stretching out Makes me wonder what it's like I wanna be a tall man Just walking down that road Just walking down that road I wanna be a tall man I feel the sun break through the trees Hear the rustlin' of the leaves There's a wind brushing my cheek And as my cheek starts flushing red It reminds me of what it is To be at mercy to my legs I wanna be a tall man Just walking down that road Just walking down that road I wanna be a tall man I wanna be a tall man I hear the rumbling of the planes Feel the rattle of the trains All these cars keep booming past Killin' their stereos And then I'm looking to all around 'til my eyes go dropping' down to worn souls below my feet At least - they're walking down that road Well I wanna be a tall man Just walking down that road I wanna be a tall man I wanna be a tall man I wanna be I wanna be

The state that you found me in Is that same where I hear ya been Agree to never speak of this place again Motion to find a will Maybe start with the rolling hills One night the moon is out Strip down - Strip down The emptiness & the exitless way of, Bumbling about In front of us Motionless It's happening Standing alone By river bed Skipping a stone Here - now - is where we are I like it best in a moving car With a chance to stretch my legs Looking up from the mountain's edge Tired as an evening rain Wet socks soaking up the pain A blue note in Dakota Springs We'll sing with soggy toes And tender throats The raspy gasp The smokey laugh She still can hit those notes Echos-- In front of us Motionless It's happening Standing alone By river bed Skipping a stone Here now is where we are - Here now is where we are Sleep when you feel the urge Speak only when you need the words The quiet of the grassy plain Don't need much of anything
